IF you want to be among the first to see the official Lotus cars lineup in the Philippines, check out their display on June 27 at the Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater, from 10 am to 7:30 pm. Lotus Cars Philippines will reportedly be part of the Autohub Group headed by Willy Tee Ten.
Lotus will display the Elise, Exige, and Evora as part of the Globe Slipstream 2.0 event. The highlight will be a drive of a Lotus Formula One car by Filipino-Swiss GP2 driver Marlon Stockinger. Stockinger is competing with the Status Grand Prix team in the GP2 series. GP2 was established as a feeder series for future Formula One drivers.
Lotus sports cars originate in Britain and are known for their lightweight construction and agility. They gained greater worldwide fame when the Roger Moore-era James Bond made extensive use of the cars. Lotus will be officially on sale later this year, while the company has reportedly booked some orders already.
